Influence

There's 3 kinds of people in the world:
1) those who read
2) those who observe
3) those who peed on the electric fence

Which one do you belong to?

Was chatting with Johnny online the other day. He asked me if I was weak minded. To be absolutely honest, I think I am because I can be easily influenced into doing things. Come to think of it, those who are easily influenced are great influencers themselves. In fact those who refused to get influence, can't influence anyone else but themselves. Agree? Or confused?

We try so darn hard to influence people to agree and join us in what we're working towards, but we often forget the fundamentals of the power of influence and that's 'Self'. How to influence when we can't even be our own catalyst? Do we really have to depend on others to influence us to make that one more step?

The ultimate level of self-influence / self motivation is making undesirable things desirable. Doing things we dislike until a point that we are master at it. Like talking to that person whom we don't really talk to, just because he can be abit irritating at times. Or doing things that we have been avoiding. 'Cause until we do and fail, we'll never succeed.

I've been meaning to find this book called 'Don't eat the marshmallow.. yet.' Those who delay eating the marshmallow immediately has 10 more in the end, whereas those who can't wait only have 1 in the beginnning. If we're only be contented with what we have on hand now, we will only have this much. But if we do the things we should do now, instead of the things we like to do, we'll get more in the future. I don't to fight with everyone for that one piece of marshmallow.

Let's not be those who peed on the electric fence.
