Your wish is my command
Xmas is around the corner. and tis the season for wishes and presents. If the universe is answering to our wishes, what will you wish for?
All I really want:
1) go on a trip with my family to Korea, Japan, HK, Australia
2) A prince charming, complete with white horse, good looks and height (do they sell those in stores?)
3) travel overseas to work, build contacts for future Hana
4) a proper credit card where I meet the minimum salary limit, meaning an increment
5) A new wardrobe
Anyway my new toy rox. But can't blog
And the soft launch was relatively successful. awesome fashion show!

I don't know why I am blogging so much
but today is worth blogging about.
Because it's the 1st time I've been out with Claudia doing freelance makeup job with myself in charge. The 1st time I did so was with Sarah for Kailin's friend. So today was a good revision and experience.
Everything went smoothly and the girls liked their makeup and hair. It's an achievement, for we managed to finish well within the time given. The additional hair took slightly more time.
It's time to be independent. I wished I had pictures to show Claudia's good work. I'm so proud of her.

Weekend Getaway
Here are the photos for the Batam trip which are long overdue.
Thanet and me at the arcade, being kids again :)
at the 'infamous' STP 1 track
And the racer chicks are ready for some action
Boss Len reaching the finishing line.
And the crowd is cheering estatically!
Water Netball = Fun!

Thanks to Xueyin for the lovely photos!
Pictures speak a thousand words. No words can describe the fun the group had over that weekend and I'm so happy to have so many friends around! Next time, we must hit the 50 people mark and book the entire resort! Must also try the cable ski and more go kart!

Runway makeup
Christian Dior Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 07-08 collection featured some of the most outlandish and daring creations I've ever seen on the runway. Greatly inspired by Marie Antoinette, the dresses and makeup is befitting for theatres. I would love to create the below looks. I need volunteers for models! anyone?

Fashion Magnet
Hana represented Colourshades in a series of fashion shows that were carried out at Centrepoint and I went down to help out last Saturday.
Glamourous it may sounds, it's actually very intimidating for me. I now have (even more) newfounded respect for Emily and Cindy. Yes, ANTM is showing the true side of models (they are whinny bitches!) Imagine Emily and Cindy have gotten more shit than I have. Nonetheless it was very good experience. Talcum powder, foundation, red lipstick. Haha, experimental makeup!
More pictures to come (i hope)

It's really not easy being a makeup artist or beauty instructor. I still got more work to do...

What do I do?
Astri asked me this the other day, and I take it that she is asking about my occupation.
My full time job is a service delivery representative in an IT related company, under one of their businesses, a hotel representation company. Daily activities include do health check on hotel inventory on the Central Reservation System, chase hotel for Travel agent commission, assist hotels who are coming onboard with us and help them with whatever questions they may have with the softwares my company sold them.
Confused by the above description? Don't worry, everyone is. Have to be in the industry to know what I'm getting at.
I also have another 'job' (which I don't consider it a job, just my own business. Something I do at my own time. I think i will get into trouble if my company finds out about my blog) and that's Hana. Hana is a business I have with my friends, specialising in courses and workshops mainly on skincare and cosmetic arts. My role there is a beauty adviser and whenever we have events, I become a makeup artist. And I also attend non-beauty related lessons at Hana, like entrepreneurship, nutrition, water and air essentials etc.
Oh yah, did I mention I'm an Amway distributor too?
The above may seem overwhelming for some, but I still find that I don't have enough things to do. And I'm still seeking for new 'projects' that I haven't tried before, like event planning, PR, marketing, fashion retail sales etc (something related to Hana hopefully).

Away from the hustle and bustle
Just back from the inaugural HANA Leadership Training Seminar at Batam. It was so much fun with the right company and I have found answers to the questions that have been on my mind.
Claudia and me
me and my roomie, Emily
trying to be childish.

Cute lil stuff at the hotel lobby
Daddy and his lil yellow creature

The lovely villas by the beach that we didn't get to stay at this time round

Dock by the beach
Stupid parrot at hotel

Mummy Janet (so cute)
Daddy and his lil yellow creatureI was touched by all the sharing by everyone who came (even Kenneth's, because it was funny - 'make it!' and "这不是重点"). Especially Claudia's and Janet's. Claudia who never shared NDO, did a fantastic job at it and her real emotions make her sharing even more endearing. Thanks for believing in me, because I really believe nothing is a challenge for us, as long as we have the same belief.
Janet's sharing was exceptionally touching too. Never know her story until she bared her heart and soul to everyone during her sharing. I was surprised at the similarities, but then again we are very different too. Really saw her change over the past year and I think she will definitely be able to fulfill her dream of being a homemaker and spend more time with her lil girl.
Most touching were the videos made and Len's slides. So much effort went into the trip (thanks to Zhenwei, Len, Caren, YW), and I learnt alot from Len's sharing of what makes a leader and how we can all become leaders. I have not chosen the wrong person to follow. Only one who believe we are leaders can make leaders and this one person is Len.
